Daily life

Room with a view. Our street from our balcony

Typical shop

Hospital Chaos

Typical ward scenario. May not look too bad, try smelling it!

Bullet lodged in shattered tibia. One of the easier patients! Haitians are tough!

Typical poor quality film. This guy waited a month to pay for his surgery like this!

Not uncommon wound. Like this following fasciotomy for compartment sydrome! Bone evident.

Cute kid! 20% burns following hot water spill. Shoulder now moves a bit too!

Life at the rehab centre

Fiona and Audate working with a 2 yr old

Reception lady working hard in the organised store room

Going over a knee assessment with Sony and Audate. Robyn and the other interpreter there to help. You can't see the poor girl's face i'm afraid. Unfortunately her knee wasn't in the best shape.

Going over a wrist assessment (as we see loads of nasty wrist fractures) with all the girls and the other interpreter George.

Some of the other interesting / useful (?) items in the store room. Item 1 = Machete. Item 2 = Laminator!

Claire discussing a patient presentation with Claudine.

A bi-lateral amputee gentleman turned up. They are around after all. He had some great limbs. Nothing to do with us.
Again im going to try and let the pictures do the talking for a while
